Amanda was born at 39 weeks via C-Section due to delivery failing to progress. Amanda spent five weeks in the NICU for respiratory concerns., requiring tube feedings. At that time, he was diagnosed with Microcephaly and Periventricular Leukomalacia (PVL), causing cerebral palsy, which he was diagnosed with at one year- old, developmental delays, learning disabilities, visual disturbances, and other disabilities. The client was on oxygen for two months at home and followed up with a cardiologist until eight months of age due to an irregular heartbeat. At 16 months, Amanda needs to have surgery for an umbilical hernia and vision surgery at two years old.
