Description
This week I would like for you to reach out to your family to discuss your medical history. Heart Disease is the #1 killer of men and women in America according to the American Heart Association. According to cancer.gov, “Approximately 39.6 percent of men and women will be diagnosed with cancer at some point during their lifetimes.” These two diseases are the top two “killers” in our country.
Call your parents; talk to your grandparents. Are you predisposed to one or both of these diseases? Knowing this, is there something you can do TODAY, a habit you can form, that would seriously decrease your risk for developing this? Discuss what you found out and what you plan to do to change your future for the better.
Your paper should be a minimum of 1 page, double spaced, font size 12. Include your resource list. You should use a minimum of 2 outside sources to support your new habit choices.
Alternatively- you may complete this essay in video form. Be sure to fully answer the prompt in your video. Please keep videos to a maximum of 3 minutes.
Upload your paper here. Must be WORD or PDF file. ******MY FAMILY DOESN’T SUFFER FROM ANY DISEASES AND SO FAR MY GRADFATHER HAS DIED OF A STROKE, BUT WAS HEALTHY AND HAD NO SIGNS OR SYMPTOMS OF IT IN HIS LIFE TIME – FATHER WAS MURDERED AND MY UNCLE DIED FROM RUPTURED GALLBLADDER AND HAD KIDNEY ISSUES, BUT NO SIGNS OF IT IN THE REST OF THE FAMILY – HOPE THIS INFORMATION HELPS***
