Business Question

Description

Review the rubric to make sure you understand the criteria for earning your grade.
Read Chapter 5 of Arbnor and Bjerke (2009): Methodology for Creating Business Knowledge.
Review Chapters 4 and 6 of Arbnor and Bjerke (2009): Methodology for Creating Business Knowledge.
Conduct a search in the Business Source Complete database for research articles relevant to the industry or discipline you are interested in:
Go to the Online Campus Library Services (OCLS)(new tab) home page.
Scroll to the “Find Your Database” section of the OCLS home page and select “Business” to access a list of business-domain research databases.
Find and select “Business Source Complete”.
Spend some time experimenting with the search tools to find scholarly works published in your area of interest. Be sure to select the “Peer Reviewed” option.
Scan through the abstracts of the research works you find to identify the common methodologies they use. You are looking for research studies (not theory pieces).
Select one article you find interesting that uses this typical methodology for further analysis. Make sure a full-text copy of the article is available for your review.
Write a short paper, 500-700 words in length, analyzing your selected article. In your essay, respond to the following questions:
For the specific article you selected, what overarching research question were the researchers attempting to answer?
What methodology did the researchers choose to address their research question?
How did the research team justify their selection of this methodology?
Did the selected methodology align well with the research question and the intended outcomes of the study? Why or why not?
Your paper should be properly formatted per APA guidelines. Robustly support your points with appropriate sources. Cite these sources and provide a correctly formatted reference list.
Do not feel limited by the reading assignments above in your analysis. Feel free to branch out to find additional sources that may aid with your analysis or support your inferences. In other words, don’t hesitate to conduct a little research!
Submit your paper by the end of the workshop.
