Alignment to the Program of Study

The proposed research complements the program of study by tackling a significant issue in the administration of healthcare – the complex process of navigating transformation. As the healthcare sector changes, effective management change becomes increasingly important. This research concentrates on finding and filling gaps in current change management methods in healthcare settings. The research intends to give significant findings that coincide with the program’s objectives by diving into the complexities that accompany organizational adaptation, adding to an increased awareness of change dynamics within healthcare organizations.

Project Problem

The highlighted problem focuses on the issues inherent in change management within hospitals, which aligns with the program’s emphasis on the management of healthcare and organizational behavior. The available literature shows a deficit in understanding the intricate dynamics of implementing changes in the healthcare industry, prompting additional study. The practice issue is concerned with the efficacy of present change administration practices, particularly in light of ongoing industry transitions. The audience being targeted includes healthcare workers of all roles of levels, acknowledging the universal influence of good transition management strategies on the resilience and performance of healthcare organizations.

Problem to be Addressed

The overriding issue to be addressed is the ineffectiveness of change management strategies inside healthcare companies. Healthcare workers face difficulties when implementing changes. (Grol et al., 2020). This issue is especially severe in the dynamic environment of the healthcare sector. Where rapid technological breakthroughs, new treatment models, and regulatory alterations need swift and efficient organizational adaptation. Frontline healthcare workers are all feeling the burden of navigating these shifts, This affects care delivery and overall resilience among organizations. The issue is prevalent throughout a wide range of medical facilities where workers battle with the complexities of change within their own professions and departments.

Hello Everyone,

The most common question I hear at my place of work and among my clients is the question of risks associated with innovation. While most organizations recognize the need and importance of innovation for business survival and growth, they are deeply concerned about the risks associated with embarking on, or adopting innovative processes.

Reflecting on this question, I am considering working on the topical area that is centered on ‘innovation risks’. I also recognize that the topical area is very broad and would require further refinement to make it suitable for my doctoral dissertation.

Kind Regards,

Hello Everyone!

During my last semester I took my dissertation research literature course and was able to really start to narrow down my scope and start developing a project topic. I am specializing in accounting and my topic area will be with on-the-job training and accountants perception of job satisfaction and motivation. I am especially interested in newly hired accountants and possibly job retention. I still have some work to do to narrow down my topic and develop a specific research question which I hope to accomplish in this class.

One article that sparked my curiosity in this subject was by Bayerlein & Timpson (2017) who discussed the gap between formal accounting education and actual on-the-job skills that were needed for effective job performance. In my professional career I have seen multiple times accountants who are very good at what they do, but struggle with passing their knowledge on to others. This creates problems with promoting and changing job duties between staff and is an interesting area that I look forward to studying.
