What were the causes and consequences of the Mexican American War?
CONTEXT TO BE USED:
The first reading is an excerpt from the American Yawp textbook which looks at how the USA used the policy of Manifest Destiny to start a war with Mexico. The second article from JSTOR Daily adds more context to the complexity of US-Mexico relations with Mexico dealing with their immigration problems from US Americans coming into the country. The third article looks at the historical memory of the events of the Alamo during the Texas Revolution against the Mexican Government. The fourth article looks at the Indigenous responses during the events of the Mexican American War.
