The purpose of the assignment is to assess students understanding of assessments as it relates to investigating the reliability and validity of assessment utilizes in counseling. Additionally, this assignment accesses student’s ability to demonstrate their knowledge of how assessments can support diagnosis and treatment planning.

Research a specific assessment instrument utilized in your specialty area and in two to three pages:
Provide an overview of an assessment instrument in your area of interest.
Investigate and discuss the reliability and validity of this instrument
Discuss how you might use it in your future practice as a counselor.
Include how this assessment would support diagnosis and enhance a treatment plan.
