Description
The last part of the reading for this week briefly covered the field of evolutionary psychology. The authors talked about how some “readers are troubled by the naturalism and evolutionism of contemporary science”. The idea that the human mind is a product of evolution seems to make some people uncomfortable. The thought that our minds developed and were shaped by the environmental changes in our world seems antithetical to many religious beliefs. What are your thoughts on this conflict. Is it possible that evolution and religious doctrine can co-exist? Are you worried that science will be the end of religion? Can you be both a spiritual person and a scientist? Please share your thoughts. (no Resources)
