Morrow (2020) provides critical information on assessing early literacy development so that teachers provide effective instruction that meets the needs of all children. Many assessment methods are presented in Chapter 3. Given this, which one assessment method would you consider useful for your classroom? Discuss the components of the assessment and how the chosen assessment method corresponds with the standards discussed in Chapter 3, pages 51–53. What would be the rationale for what this assessment is measuring and how its student results could impact future lessons? Support with the course and outside readings.
